Black Ammonite Cufflinks, golden ratio, men's fossil cufflinks. Handmade by us and Mama Nature herself, no two are ever the same! Very occasionally we come across a rare black ammonite fossil. Early relatives of the modern nautilus, these unique fossils likely got their color from manganese rich waters.

  • Ammonite halves average 1" wide x 3/4" tall x 1/4" deep
  • Matched polished pair.
  • Easy-to-use, silver-tone, bullet-back hardware.
  • Handmade. Please allow for slight variations in color, shape and size of the stones. Each fossil is unique!
  • Reverse side of the stone is coated in resin to help prevent damage while wearing or if dropped
  • Stones hand-picked in person at the Tucson and Quartzsite Gem Shows
  • Stone origin: Madagascar.
  • Hand-selected, extra quality stones
  • Fancy gift box included.

Makes a perfect gift for any human that has a cuff that needs fancying! Got a super special occasion? Fathers of the bride, grooms and groomsmen - if only one set is shown as available, more similar stones can usually be sourced quickly and I can make plenty more, we can make sets for wedding parties or groomsmen gifts. Please contact us for specific stone customization requests.

NEW! I use traditional, time-honored lapidary techniques to drill into the stones in order to sink the cufflink hardware deep into the stone's surface, so your cufflinks will not come apart. This time-consuming process is done in addition to the adhesive and resin layers that attach the stones to the metal cufflink hardware. Most crafters skip this most important drilling (and resin) step.

Each pair of cufflinks is unique and one of a kind, and made by hand by printmaker, metalworking artist and Cyberoptix founder, Bethany Shorb. I work between my home base in Detroit, MI and a mobile RV studio Arizona, where I source all our stone, crystal, shell and fossil there and at the Tucson and Quartzsite AZ gem shows. All are intuitively sourced in person, from only the most reputable individual suppliers.
